Can Our Hair be used for Braiding?
Yes.  Our hair can be used for braiding but you must consult with our expert to get the details on what and what not to do.

Can I cut the hair off the weft?
Yes you can, but why would you.  It would be best if you bought bulk hair.

Can I color the hair?
Yes, because the cuticle is live, the hair can be colored and highlighted.  We recommend 7th stage Lightening Activator for bleaching and Miss Clairol for coloring.  Anyone can do it!

How long does the hair last?
Because our hair is natural, it can last for minimum 1 year.  In fact, the more you use it, the better it gets. Why?  Because, remember, Indians don’t shampoo and condition their hair on a regular basis, so the hair is not in supreme condition.  So, once you get it and put some love into it, I guarantee, it will love you back!

Do you sell wholesale?
Yes we do!  We are in the business to make sure that you can do great business. In fact, we also have a stylist referral program that earns 15% of every client they send us, (redeemable towards hair or one of our training classes).  Also, if your license is on file, we allow stylist to purchase hair for themselves once a month at our wholesale price!

How many bundles of hair will I need to do an entire head?
You will need approximately 2-3 bundles depending on how full your wear your hair. If you wear a part, you will need from 1-2. If you wear most or all of your hair braided in, you will need 2-4.

Do you offer a discount for stylists?
Yes indeed! In fact, our stylist referral program earns 15% of every client they send us, (redeemable towards hair purchases or one of our training classes).  Also, if your license is on file, we allow stylist to purchase hair for themselves once a month at our wholesale price!

What texture does your Remy Hair come in?
Because our hair textures are all natural, we have a variety of textures from kinky curly, silky curly, wavy, and straight.  You must specify which type of pattern you want, and if we do not have it, we can custom texture it for you.

Why do you only sell Black and Brown hair?
Well because our 100% natural hair comes from Indian donors, and Indian women don’t have blonde hair or jet-black hair; their hair is either naturally black or naturally brown. Now, Natural Black does not mean jet black, and it doesn’t mean brown; Natural Black is an in-between color. No two bundles of hair are exactly the same because each donor’s hair color is unique. This is very important to remember when you’re purchasing Indian hair from any company – natural Remy Hair does not come in different colors. Real, authentic Remy Hair only comes in two colors, Natural Black and Natural Brown. We don’t carry other colors because we want to make sure that the hair is in its virgin state.

Does our hair carry a guarantee?

Yes!  Because we manufacture our own hair, we can guarantee our product 100%!  If the hair mats and sheds in an unnatural manner, just send it back, and we will replace it or reinforce it.

Where Does Indian Hair Come From?

Over the last few years hair extensions using Indian hair has dramatically increased in popularity. More than 79,000 tonnes of human hair was imported last year, and that’s just into the US. A very popular type of hair which is used for adding human hair extensions is Indian hair. But who are these people that are providing the hair? Indian hair comes from two sources:

1. Source 1 – Hair Tonsuring: Hindu devotees offer their hair to temples throughout India. An example is the One of the Temples in Southern India, where on average 50,000-100,000 pilgrims visit daily (more than the Vatican and Mecca). From this temple alone, 1 ton of human hair is offered EVERY DAY. The practice of tonsuring doesn’t provide any money for the women offering the hair; instead they hope to be repaid with blessings.

The temples sell the hair to wig and hair extension companies around the world. The profit the temples make from the hair is used to fund charity programs and improve local infrastructure such as improve roads to the temple.

2. Source 2 – Dead Hair: Only 25% of Indian hair comes from temples. The rest comes from salon floors or hair brushes and is referred to as dead hair or non-remy hair. Local Indian women will comb their hair 2-3 times a day and collect the hair. They can then sell this hair to help pay the bills. To give you an idea of what they make from their hair, about 60 women who combine their hair will make about $2.50 a day. This hair is considered very poor quality because the hair cuticles are tangled and face different directions. The hair is non-remy and if you ever have extensions that mat within a few days and are completely unmanageable, the chances are you’ve had this hair added to your head.
